Two sunsets

Yesterday afternoon there was what the British call a "mackerel sky." It's a harbinger of light rain within the next 24 hours. Is this called a "buttermilk sky?"

Yesterday's pink and blue sunset. After this, rain clouds began to blow in off the Pacific and it rained all night and day until just before sunset today.

This afternoon when the rain stopped. The last of the clouds block out the setting sun.

The sky is still too overcast for a dramatic sunset so it's a simple silver and gold sunset.
