Guns don't kill - guns save lives

I'll probably mention Tammy Bruce's new book, "The New American Revolution," now and then while I'm reading it. After Tammy published her first two books, she got a lot of letters. In her new book she publishes a few of these.

One letter was from a woman who lived in San Francisco. She worked evening shift and got home around midnight. She pulled into her driveway and, as she got out of her car, she saw a movement in the shadows and her hair stood on end. She reached back into the car to take her gun out from under the seat. As she straightened up, she saw a man standing there with an evil grin on his face. She pointed the gun at him. He kept staring at her as if to tempt her to pull the trigger. She stared straight back at the man who was looking at her as if trying to overpower her with his eyes. She kept the gun pointed at him. There seemed to be a power struggle and eventually he realized that she WOULD pull the trigger. He suddenly he ran away.

Later she found out that the man was Richard Ramirez, the Night Stalker, the devil-worshipping serial-killer who carved satanic symbols into the corpses of his victims. Ramirez told police that he despised people whom he thought were weaker than him. If anyone stood up to him, he gave up.

PS When Diane Feinstein was mayor of San Francisco, she tried to ban handguns - but of course packed a pistol of her own. When Ramirez made his way from LA to SF, she publicized the evidence SF police had to identify the Night Stalker. She announced that they knew the guy in SF was Ramirez because of his shoes. Naturally, he destroyed the shoes.
