Saturday houses - beach cottages

I spent most of my childhood in a seaside resort/fishing village so I have a particular fondness for beach cottages. We were not rich enough to live in a house right on the beach but one of the best vacations I ever had was when my family and another family rented a beach cottage on a remote beach in Zululand one Christmas. It looked just like the first picture. We had Christmas "dinner" on the beach - actually a cookout.
